The main objective of the project is to improve the response of the authorities in the cross-border area in the event of natural disasters and emergencies. This objective will be achieved by raising public awareness of the existing dangers and by preparing and equipping volunteer services in the two areas.
Project Results:
1. Organization of information campaigns for a number of 720 people divided by different age groups – awareness raising campaigns for pupils (300 children from 6 localities) – Safety Days in 4 localities with the participation of 240 people – awareness campaigns for parents and grandparents (180 people from 6 localities)
2. Theoretical and practical training of volunteer firefighters from the two localities – 12 trainings organized for volunteers from Dumbrava, 6 trainings organized for volunteers from Ada and 3 joint trainings organized at Ada.
3. Purchase of equipment for voluntary emergency services:
– purchase of 2 fire trucks (Dumbrava and Ada)
– purchase of protective equipment for 12 people (Dumbrava and Ada)
– purchase of 10 dirty water motor pumps in Dumbrava.
